Pre-made vs Custom Widget Sections

Offshore includes 6 pre-made widget sections (Sidebar, Top Widgets, Pre Footer Widgets, Footer Widgets, Footer Bottom Left WIdgets and Footer Bottom Right Widgets) and also allows you to create custom Widget Sections.

  • Pre-Made Widget Section – Pre-made widget section are readily created widget sections for certain areas of the theme. Therefore, you don’t need to create a widget section for them, you can simply add widgets to the pre-made widget sections directly.
  • Custom Widget Section – Custom widget sections are widget sections you can create yourself in the Appearance > Widgets tab on your WordPress admin panel. These custom widget sections can be assigned to sidebars on per post / page basis.
